District-wide renovations cater to each campus uniquely.
Individual modernizations.
El Monte is one of the older, established suburban communities just to the east of Los Angeles in the San Gabriel Valley. Over the last decade, the El Monte School District has undertaken a comprehensive bond campaign through Proposition J to develop a facilities master plan. From there, work began to renew and expand its sixteen school sites. HED refined this master plan, renovated existing facilities and planned classroom additions for multiple sites under this program.

Wright Elementary School was one campus to receive a two-story addition, providing contemporary classrooms and computer labs. The building’s enhanced day lighting and natural ventilation capabilities cater to the wellness of students and staff while informing renovations to other campuses in the district.
