Crafting an innovative maker space from the inside, out.
Mak[ing] space.
Combining art, technology and marketing, META+Lab integrates students, faculty and staff into a multidisciplinary, creative community.

With big ideas and innovative energy already in place, META+Lab now needed to renovate its existing space into an exciting digital maker space that echoed and enhanced its experimental feel. One that fostered creativity. Encouraged growth and invention. And invited engagement and discovery.

Taking cues from creative office spaces, HED developed a new design for a renovated maker space that is open, ambient and flexible—one custom-designed for idea-sharing, cross-pollination, collegiality and inspiration.
