Eye candy.
Creating visual interest.
A sleek exterior attracts tenants.
Pima Medical Institute, a Health care education provider, signed a long-term lease for space in the North City mixed-use development, to occupy 40,000 SF. To accommodate their need for modern, Class ‘A’ workspace, Urban Villages turned to HED.
The design strategy was to create compelling space viewable from the road that would meet the level of sophistication Urban Villages wanted to bring to its client Pima Medical Institute and attract additional tenants to the campus. The response is a three-story, 60,000 SF building featuring sandblasted concrete panels with liner accent walls and a metal canopy at the entry that conveys a sleek, modern aesthetic. The exterior is comprised of a variety of textures and patterns within the concrete panels for visual interest (sand blasted concrete, exposed aggregate, varying panel depths) which work together to create a rich appearance.
