Discovery Building achieves honorable mention at The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design International Architecture Awards
A distinguished jury of international designers selected over 150 new buildings from 48 Countries in this Year’s 17th Edition of the 2022 International Architecture Awards. Among them was the Discovery Building, designed by HED and Moore Ruble Yudell Architects & Planners, which was awarded an Honorable Mention in educational design.
Organized by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, the International Architecture Awards are the world’s oldest and most prestigious global architecture awards for the world’s best new buildings and urban planning projects from over 35 nations.

Imaginative, dynamic and boundlessly creative, 21st-century teaching and learning transcends the confines of traditional classrooms, radiating throughout entire communities to connect, energize and inspire, and Discovery is an excellent example of those principals applied in design.
